What is contentment?

the satisfaction - God Almighty says (If you are grateful, I will increase you) and this verse expresses contentment with everything that God does to man from calamities or afflictions, so man must always be satisfied with God’s will, as required by our honorable Messenger. With stones, the Messenger was wounded until he went and left them. He prayed to God, “If you are not angry with me, then I don’t care.” And this was the response from God to the Messenger immediately, to tell him that he was pleased with him

the satisfaction

  1. I am satisfied with God as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammed, may God bless him and grant him peace, as my Prophet.
Whoever says it in the morning and in the evening, it is incumbent on God to please him on the Day of Resurrection, and it is said three times in the morning and evening remembrances as well.
  2. O Allah, place light in my sight, place light in my hearing, place light in my tongue, place light on my right, place light on my left, place light in front of me, place light behind me, place light above me, place light below me, and place light for me on the Day of Resurrection. Nora, and the greatest light for me
  3. God protect me with Islam standing up, protect me with Islam sitting down, protect me with Islam lying down, and do not gloat over me because of envy
  4. O God, protect me from before me, from behind me, from my right, from my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your Greatness from being assassinated from below.
  5. Oh God, keep me alive as long as life is good for me, and let me die if death is good for me
  6. O Allah, have mercy on me with the Qur’an, and make it an imam for me, a guidance and a mercy.
  7. O God, grant me a lawful thing that you do not punish me for, and satisfy me with what You have provided for me, and use it for righteousness and accept it from me.
  8. Oh God, I ask you for faith that touches my heart, so that I know that nothing will happen to me except what you wrote for me, and contentment from life with what you have divided me.
  9. O Allah, I ask You from sudden good, and I seek refuge in You from sudden evil
  10. Oh God, reconcile the same between us, unite our hearts, guide us to the paths of peace, deliver us from darkness into light, and spare us immorality, what is apparent of it and what is hidden.
  11. O God, rectify for me my religion, which I have made the protection of my affairs, and rectify for me my world in which I have made my livelihood, and rectify my hereafter, to which I have made my return.
  12. Oh God, wash away my sins with the water of snow and hail, and purify my heart from sins as I cleanse a white garment from filth, and distance me from my sins as You distanced between the east and the west.
  13. O Allah, forgive us and have mercy on us and be pleased with us and accept from us and admit us to Paradise and save us from the Fire and rectify all our affairs for us.
  14. Oh God, stop me with your permission from your forbidden, and enrich me with your grace from those other than you
  15. O God, be kind to me in facilitating every difficulty, for if everything is easy for you, it will be easy for you, and I ask you for ease and well-being in this world and the Hereafter.
  16. O Allah, we ask You for the reasons for Your mercy, the resolve for Your forgiveness, for safety from every sin, the booty from every righteousness, victory in Paradise, and deliverance by Your mercy from Hellfire.
  17. Oh God, you are more deserving of mention, more worthy of a servant, help whomever seeks and more merciful than a king, the most generous of those who are asked, and the most generous of those who are given. You are the king, you have no partner, and the individual does not perish. Obeyed and then thanked, disobeyed and forgiven, the nearest martyr, the lowest guardian, prevented the gaps, seized the forelocks, wrote the monuments and abrogated the deadlines, the hearts are yours, the secret is with you openly, the lawful is what you have permitted, the forbidden is what you have forbidden, the religion is what you have legislated and the command is what you have decreed, the morals are your creation And the servant is your servant. You are God, the Compassionate, the Merciful. I ask you with the light of your countenance to which the heavens and the earth have shone, and I ask you with every right that is yours.
  18. O Allah, you are my Lord, there is no god but You, You created me and I am Your servant, and I abide by Your covenant and promise as much as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done.
  19. O Allah, You know my secret and my openness, so accept my apologies, and You know my need, so give me my question, and You know what is in my soul, so forgive my sin
  20. O Allah, I ask You for the reasons for Your mercy, the desires for Your forgiveness, the booty from every righteousness, and the safety from every sin.
  21. O God, guide me among whom You have guided, heal me among whom You have pardoned, take care of me among whom You have taken care of, bless me in what You have given, and protect me from the evil of what You have decreed, for You judge with justice and He does not decree against You.
  22. O God, Lord of the seven heavens and what they shade, Lord of the two earths and what they cover, Lord of the devils and what they mislead, be a neighbor for me from the evil of all of your creation, all of them, lest anyone transgresses against me, or transgresses against me.
  23. O Allah, satisfy me with what You have provided for me, and bless me with it, and replace all that is absent for me with goodness
  24. Oh God, you are forgiving, you love forgiveness, so forgive me

A prayer of contentment with fate and destiny

Satisfaction is a higher status than patience, as contentment with God’s decree, whatever it is, the servant does not see in it is good for him, for God chooses goodness for the servant and tests him to ease his sins and to see the extent of his patience with his judgment and destiny.

  • One of the supplications of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was: (And I ask you for contentment after making up)
  • I am pleased with God as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, as my Prophet
  • We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return

A prayer of contentment and contentment

The Muslim must be content and satisfied with what God has ordained for him, and thank him for his blessings, and if he takes something from him, he gives him many blessings in return that the servant may overlook.

Contentment, as it was said, is an inexhaustible treasure, and among the characteristics of a true Muslim is that he is content with what has been decreed, and is satisfied with what he has in order to preserve the blessings that God has given him, and not take them away from him.

The best way to preserve these blessings is to thank God Almighty and praise Him every day for these blessings, and to use these blessings to satisfy God and avoid disobeying Him.

A prayer for peace of mind and reassurance

Because of the daily problems and pressures, a person is exposed to discomfort and tranquility, as the body needs rest, and also the soul and the heart need food, tranquility and reassurance, and the best food for the heart and soul is the remembrance of God Almighty and his continuous supplication, and approaching Him every day with supplication and worship.

  • There is no God but God - the Patient and Generous ..
There is no god but Allah, the Most High, the Great.
There is no god but Allah, Lord of the Seven Heavens and Lord of the Great Throne.
  • My Lord, I ask you to comfort my heart and my mind, and to distract me from the distractions of the mind and thinking.
My Lord, there are things in my heart that only You know, so fulfill them for me, O Most Merciful.
My Lord, be with me in the most difficult circumstances and show me the wonders of your ability in the most difficult days.
  • O Allah, we ask You for an increase in religion, a blessing in life, health in the body, abundance in sustenance, repentance before death, martyrdom at death, forgiveness after death, forgiveness at reckoning, security from punishment, and a portion of Paradise, and grant us the sight of Your honorable face.
  • Oh God, the severe laxative, the lenient of iron, the fulfiller of the threat, the one who is in a new matter every day, take me out of the throat of narrowness to the widest path, with you I push what I cannot bear, and there is no power or strength except with God, the Most High, the Great.
  • Oh God, you are the forbearing, so do not hurry, you are the generosity, do not be stingy, and you are the mighty, do not humiliate, and you are the impregnable, so do not hurt, and you are the guide, do not join, and you are over all things.
  • Oh God, I ask you for patience at the judiciary, the homes of the martyrs, the life of happiness, victory over the enemies, and the company of the prophets, O Lord of the worlds.

Conversations about contentment with God's will

Satisfaction is the highest level of patience, and it is to accept what is written before it happens and to accept God’s will and power no matter how difficult it is for us to accept with our mind, and we are certain that God appreciates good for us at all times, for God is kind to His servants from themselves.

  • On the authority of Shaddad bin Aws - may God be pleased with him - he said: (I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say: God Almighty says: Indeed, if I test a servant of My servants as a believer, then praise Me for what I test him, for he rises from his bed that is as the day his mother bore him from sins And the Lord, Almighty and Majestic, says: I have bound My servant and afflicted him, so confess to him as you used to treat him while he is right.)
  • He who is satisfied with God as the Lord, with Islam as the religion, and with Muhammad as the Messenger, has tasted the taste of faith.
  • And on the authority of Abu Saeed Al-Khudri, he says: “The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, took my hand and said: “O Abu Saeed, there are three people who say: He will enter Paradise.” I said: What are they, O Messenger of God? He said: “He who is pleased with God as his Lord, with Islam as his religion, and with Muhammad as his Messenger.” Then he said: “Oh Abu Saeed, the fourth is as good as the distance between heaven and earth, and it is: jihad for the sake of God.”
  • On the authority of Abdullah bin Amr, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, that he said: “He who converts to Islam has succeeded, is provided with sufficient sustenance, and is satisfied by God with what He has given him.”
