Remembrance before prayer from the Sunnah

Prayer is considered as a link between the servant and his Lord, and it is the time when the believer stands in the hands of his Lord to ask him and ask him his need and thank him for his blessing upon him and ask for his forgiveness. To thank God for the blessing He bestowed upon us, we pray two units of gratitude, and when we have a need that we want God (the Almighty) to fulfill for us, we pray two units of fulfillment of a need.

Remembrance before prayer

There are dhikr that we can say before the prayer, and it is a Sunnah from the Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace), and it is desirable to say it, but it is not obligatory in the sense that if the servant says it, he will have its reward, but if he does not say it, then he does not have anything to do with it, and he will not be held accountable for it, including (God is great, God is great, God is great, not God Except God, God is great, God is great, God is great, praise be to God) and it is the opening takbeer.

Then we say (I turned my face to the one who created the heavens and the earth as Hanif, and I am not of the polytheists. Indeed, my prayer, my sacrifice, my life, and my death belong to God, the Lord of the worlds, who has no partner, and with that I have been commanded, and I am of the Muslims.

Remembrance before Fajr prayer

Supplication is considered as a means that connects the servant to his Lord. He (Glory be to Him and the Most High) said: “Call on Me, I will respond to you.” Supplication is also considered an act of worship performed by the servant, and the dawn prayer is a new beginning for a new day. The rest of the prayers, so the herald says in the Fajr prayer, “Prayer is better than sleep.” This means that its virtue is great, and that it clarifies the difference between the hypocrite and the sincere, and among these desirable supplications in the Fajr prayer.

Oh God, we have become with you, and with you our evening, and with you we live and with you we die, and to you is the resurrection.

There is also a supplication: “Oh God, you are my Lord, there is no god but You, I rely on You and You are the Lord of the Great Throne. He has surrounded everything with knowledge, O God, I seek refuge in You from the evil of myself, and from the evil of every animal whose forelock You take, for my Lord is capable of everything.

Some of the best supplications we can start our day with are:

We have become and the kingdom belongs to God, there is no god but God alone, He has no partner, His is the kingdom and His is the praise, and He is capable of everything. in it, and the evil of what comes after it. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and bad old age, and I seek refuge in You from the torment of the Fire and the torment of the grave.”

The time of dawn is considered one of the best times for remembrance, and the morning remembrance is repeated because of the many good things it contains.

Remembrance before Maghrib prayer

Remembrance before Maghrib prayer

There are customs that it is recommended for a person to adopt and do, for example:

If the servant says ten times, “There is no god but God alone, He has no partner, His is the sovereignty, and His is the praise, and He is capable of everything” before sunset, God sends us soldiers to protect us from the devils until the morning and writes for us ten good deeds and erases from us ten bad deeds and books. We shall have the reward of freeing ten believing women from the Fire.

And whoever prays two rak’ahs after sunset and says, “Oh God, this is the approach of your night, the end of your day, and the voices of your supplications, so forgive me,” then he has done something recommended.

And whoever hears the Maghrib call to prayer should say, “Oh God, this is the approach of your night, the end of your day, and the voices of your supplications, so forgive me.”

  • In the name of God, with whose name nothing in the heavens and the earth harms, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
  • O live, O Qayyum, with your mercy, I seek help, rectify all my affairs for me, and do not entrust me to myself for the blink of an eye.

Prayer opening prayer

The supplication for the opening of prayer does not have one specific formula, but rather it has more than one formula. Each of the Islamic doctrines has its own formula, and the believer chooses what he deems easier for him than others.

And the prayer is valid in both cases, and it is said in secret, not out loud, and it has many benefits, but the most important of these benefits is that it helps the servant to focus in his prayers without forgetfulness or distraction.

Many religious scholars have seen that the opening prayer is preferable to be said before seeking refuge and also after the opening takbeer, which we previously said can be said before the prayer, but the Malikis said that the opening prayer is said before the opening takbeer and not after it.

One of the simplest formulas for the opening prayer is:

(I directed my face to the one who created the heavens and the earth as Hanif, and I am not of the polytheists. Indeed, my prayer, my sacrifice, my life and my death belong to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, He has no partner, and with that I have been commanded and I am of the Muslims. So forgive me all my sins, for no one forgives sins except You, and guide me to the best of morals, no one guides to the best of them except You, and turn away from me the bad of them, none can turn away from me their bad ones except You, at Your service and at Your pleasure, and the good is between Your Hands, and the evil is not from You. And I repent to you).
